Overview

The Sirppujoki River provides easily accessible fishing spots right near the town center. The river's lower reaches are particularly popular.

Fish Species and Fishing

Perch and pike are the most common catches in the calmer sections of the river. In the spring and autumn, there is a good chance of catching sea trout as they migrate up the river. Zander can also be found in the deeper pools.

Rules and Permits

The fisheries management fee is required. The river has specific regulations regarding the fishing of migratory fish, including closed seasons and size limits, which must be checked beforehand.
