Kolovesi is part of Lake Saimaa and is known for its majestic cliffs and clear waters. Motorboating is prohibited in the area, so fishing is done by rowing or paddling. This ensures a unique sense of peace.
Fish Species and Fishing
Landlocked salmon is the most sought-after catch in Kolovesi, but its fishing is strictly regulated. The area also has a good pike and perch population. The Saimaa arctic char is fully protected.
