Overview

The Kokemäenjoki is a large and powerful river, offering diverse fishing opportunities from boat and shore. The areas downstream from the Harjavalta power plant are particularly popular.

Fish Species and Fishing

Zander is the most sought-after species, often caught by trolling or jigging in the deeper sections. The river is also one of the few places in Finland with a strong population of asp. Migratory salmon and sea trout are caught in the autumn.
