• Salmon: Salmon also run up the rapids, and fishing for them is popular slightly downstream.

Rules and Permits

Whitefish dip-netting is reserved for local fishing rights owners. Other anglers must follow the rules of the Tornionjoki joint license. There may be special restrictions and permit practices for shore fishing in the rapids area, which should be checked in advance.
